Camille Rousset, winemaker at Hollowmere
“Wine is a journey, and every bottle is a destination through space and time.”

CAMILLE ROUSSET

Camille Rousset was born in Bordeaux and makes his home in Mudgee with his young family. He manages the vineyard and makes the wine, fifteen hectares of French and Italian varieties, hand-picked in the cool of the morning. The discipline is French, the warmth is Italian, the light is entirely Australian.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
A pruned Hollowmere vine in winter, low Mudgee hills beyondWINTER ON THE OLD RIVERBANK

An ancient riverbed, read from the top down

The Brackenwater once ran through these rows. What it left behind, stone, clay and sand, decides which vine goes where, and why the wines taste of the place.
